RCCP Living Shoreline Public Open House (4p – 7p)

June 3, 2025

A majority of the Washington Park Town Board may be present, but not to conduct official town business.

Municipal Building
408 Fairview Avenue

The Town of Washington Park, in coordination with the Commission Council of Governments, has contracted with Rummel, Klepper & Kahl, LLP (RK&K) to conduct topographic and benthic surveys, analyze living shoreline site suitability, develop three conceptual living shoreline alternatives for Town and stakeholder consideration and develop one final construction design for the chosen living shoreline alternative. The living shoreline project was identified as a priority project during Phases 1 and 2 of the Resilient Coastal Communities Program (RCCP) and funded through Phase 3 of the program for engineering and design. The RCCP provides funding to local governments to assist in coastal resilience and adaptation planning and project implementation. Join the project team at the open house public meeting to view project and related RCCP information, ask questions and share your input on proposed design concepts. Comments can also be submitted online at WashingtonParkLivingShoreline.org or via email to Gordon Marsh, RK&K Project Manager gmarsh@rkk.com.
